PRURIDERMYL - 500ml - PROTECTIVE ANTI-ITCH EMULSION
Description
PRURIDERMYL is a soothing emulsion that can dramatically reduce a horse's scratching. It helps protect the skin and, thanks to the Neem oil extract, has a repellent action against biting insects. Directions: shake the bottle well before use. Wear latex gloves. Pour a quantity of the product into the palm of your hand. Spread the product over the area to be treated, massaging against the direction of the hair to aid absorption. Repeat the treatment twice a day during the first week. Gradually reduce the frequency of treatments to one application a week. Neem oil (Azadirachta Indica): the concentrated extract of Neem oil gives off vapours that deter and repel biting insects. Azadirachtin, nimbiolin, salannin and nimbin are the active terpenic limonoids in Neem oil; they act on the insects' neurohormonal system, interfering with the hormones neotenin and ecdysone, causing paralysis and subsequent death through the inability to take a blood meal. Bay laurel (Laurus nobilis): bay leaves are rich in active compounds, including eugenol and limonene with antiseptic, antioxidant and digestive properties, as well as minerals and vitamins, in particular folic acid, provitamin A (beneficial for eyes, skin and mucous membranes) and B-group vitamins, useful for the nervous system, the skin and metabolism. It also contains vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and natural disinfectant that can stimulate the immune system and counteract inflammation and cellular degeneration. Rosemary: a plant extremely rich in essential oils (pinene, camphene, limonene), flavonoids, phenolic acids, tannins, resins and camphor; it also contains rosmarinic acid, which is antioxidant. Many studies show that the active compounds in rosemary can inhibit the superoxide anion, a highly toxic and reactive free radical responsible for cellular oxidation. Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris): Scots pine has an antiseptic action on the urinary and respiratory tracts, thins bronchial secretions and has an antirheumatic effect. These properties are particularly useful in cases of colds, bronchitis, tracheitis, pneumonia, asthma, influenza, chronic cystitis, prostatitis, leucorrhoea and cholecystitis. Borage (Borago officinalis): the essential fatty acids in borage oil restore the skin's hydrolipidic film, reducing dryness. Basil (Ocimum basilicum): basil is a plant that mosquitoes find particularly unappealing thanks to the repellent substances in its leaves. These substances also have a soothing effect in the event of insect bites. Calendula (Calendula officinalis), lavender (Lavandula officinalis), orange (Citrus dulcis), peppermint (Mentha piperita).
